Hearing loss can be a frustrating problem to deal with because it disrupts the essential function of communication. A defect of digital hearing aids can occur if the device is capable of picking up sounds of very low intensity like the breeze or breathing. In such a case, a constant whirring or buzzing sound may be heard and this could result in headaches, and other physiological problems. A solution to this problem may be obtained by only turning on the device for the purpose of communication. But often this is not the case, for instance if a person is crossing a busy street the device needs to be switched o continuously.
